C-130J CONTROL WHEEL & COLUMN ASSEMBLY

Essex manufactures and tests the complete assembly, which consists of the yoke and full column. Our unique design allows removing and replacing the control wheel in just minutes. The control wheel contains a force transducer as well as several single and multi-function switches for display cursor control, communications, pitch trim, auto-pilot disconnect, countermeasures, HUD declutter, and auxiliary functions.

The commercial derivative of the military C-130J Super Hercules is the LM-100J. Select design changes enables it to perform as a civil multi-purpose air freighter.

AMBIDEXTROUS CURSOR GRIP

The Ambidextrous Cursor Grip is designed for applications where there is not sufficient room for both right and left slew grips.  This single control is suitable for use by the right or left hand and mounts on the console between the seats for use by both pilot and co-pilot.

ERGONOMIC COLLECTIVE GRIP

The Ergonomic Collective Grip has a unique shape that provides the optimum hand position for long-range comfort, reducing fatigue during flight.  The patent-pending design incorporates additional switches to eliminate hand repositioning or dual seat inputs.

The new Ergonomic Collective Grip enables pilots to fly the aircraft while maintaining control of all electronic switch functions.

Essex developed the Ergonomic Collective Grip for the UH-60 Black Hawk with eight different switches, including a Cursor Slew Switch and HUD Switch, which are not typically available on a collective grip.

The Ergonomic Collective Grip can be modified to fit any rotary platform and is particularly suited to those applications that require a wide range of functionality.  Switches can be changed, as needed, to include uses such as weapon or sensor control.

The IA-63 Grip is machined from high-strength aluminum alloy casting and contains a two-axis force transducer and several single and multi-function switches used for display cursor control, communications, speedbrakes and weapons system functions.

F-16 FIGHTING FALCON SIDESTICK CONTROL GRIP

The F-16 Fighting Falcon Sidestick Control Grip is the main pilot/aircraft interface for flight, avionics and armament systems. Manufactured of precision cast aluminum, this grip is resistant to environmental conditions per MIL-STD-810. The stick grip provides a variety of single and multi-function switch assemblies for flight control, autopilot override, nosewheel steering, aerial refueling, display management, air-to-ground weapon release, and a two-stage trigger for air-to air weapons release.

VLJ Sidestick Grip

VLJ SIDESTICK GRIP

The VLJ Sidestick Grip is the main pilot/aircraft interface for flight control and avionics systems.  Manufactured of high-strength molded plastic, this grip is resistant to environmental conditions per MIL-STD-810 and DO-160. The stick grip switches provide for pitch/roll trim, communications, nosewheel steering and display management.  The unit shown is for the Eclipse 500 VLJ.  A mirror image of the grip for the copilot is also available
